Montreal’s tallest residential tower, 1 Square Phillips Condos, will rise at an amazing 61 storeys. Brivia Group plans to build this $400- million architectural marvel as part of a phased billion-dollar development in the city’s downtown.
This three-phase project is part of efforts to revitalize this sector of downtown Montreal by reinforcing and cultivating nearby businesses and the redevelopment Sainte Catherine Street. The first tower will comprise more than 500 residential units when complete and an upscale hotel to be added to the project at a later date.
Planner for the city of Montreal want to expand Square Phillips with more seating and greenspace, as per a 3-year study showing that people wanted more spaces, as opposed to kiosks.
1 Square Phillips Condos will be a junction between the business district, Montreal’s shopping district, McGill University and Place des Festivals.
“Downtown Montreal is being transformed, with a focus on residential real estate development, and Brivia Group is pleased to be a part of this process,” said Kheng Ly, founder, president and CEO of Brivia Group, in a release announcing the project.
Founded in Montreal in 2000, Brivia Group is a real estate development and investment firm with a growing number of projects in the region.
Brivia Group plans to begin construction in 2020, with occupation of the first phase in 2024. The condominium units will start at $295,900.1 Square Phillips Condos Montreal
